Nick Ede and the Style For Stroke Foundation are excited to announce the launch of new campaign LOOK LIKE YOU on 23rd May.

Following the success of 2018’s #NotJustACharityTee campaign, #LookLikeYou is an empowering campaign encouraging people to be proud of their scars, internal or external, and show off what they have overcome. With slogans ‘SURVIVOR, ICON, LOOK LIKE YOU and COOL TO BE KIND’ the ethically sourced t-shirts will be available from from 23rd May.

Style for Stroke was created to highlight that anyone can suffer from a stroke and unlike many conditions there isn’t a cure, although survivors can improve in time. A growing number of stroke sufferers are under 40 and this is where the Style For Stroke Foundation seeks to highlight, educate and influence people to make healthy lifestyle choices and lower their risk of stroke.

The #LookLikeYou campaign has been shot by acclaimed fashion photographer, Muir Vidler and features young stroke survivors including: Megan Naomi, 24 years old from Basingstoke, had a stroke at 3 years old, Sarah Scott 28, was 18 years old when she suffered a stroke at school, Toby Dowling 22, had a stroke at 12 years old but now has a successful career as a TV extra, Simone Gomes 33 had a stroke aged 19 years old, and Dancing on Ice professional skater Alex Murphy who had her stroke at 24. Also supporting the campaign is Game of Thrones actress Laura Pradelska.

The #LookLikeYou collection launches on the 23rd May with prices from £20. A minimum of 25% of the retail price from the sale of each T-shirt will go direct to the Stroke Association and Interact Stroke.

An exclusive launch event will also take place on Tuesday 4th June, premiering a film by celebrated film makers Nomad Films that highlights the reasons behind Nick’s passion to change people’s perception of stroke.

“I am so excited to be launching this year’s campaign with such an empowering collection encouraging people to embrace themselves again – flaws and all. Style For Stroke has always been about being inclusive, cool and compassionate with an edge and I think the new slogans really speak for themselves.” Nick Ede, Style For Stroke
