Nick Ede is one of the UK's most recognised Brand and Culture experts. Nick has been on our TV screens for over 20 years on shows including Good Morning Britain, ITV Lorraine, Market Kitchen, Taste, Trisha Goddard Show, 24 Hour Catwalk, Project Catwalk, The Dating Agency and The Royal Box to name but a few.
Nicks mother passed away from a stroke when he was just 23 and since then he has devoted his time to raising funds and awareness for stroke and brain injury. Nicks frustration has always been that stroke is not 'sexy' which means that brands, TV and the media do not talk about it as much as they do other conditions. Stroke is the third biggest killer in the world and the biggest cause of disability in the world but it is not talked about. This is where Nick comes in!
Nick hosted the annual ‘ A Night With Nick’ charity party which attracted celebrity support from names including Kelly Osbourne, Eva Longoria, Mel B, Luke Evans, Henry Holland, Brooklyn Beckham and Kelly Rowland to name but a few. In 2012 Nick launched his Style For Stroke initiative which saw him collaborate with fashion brands to create stylish product with a meaning. The collections were instant sell outs and featured globally in the press and were worn by stars including Kelly Osbourne, Laura Whitmore, Alesha Dixon and many more.
Each of Nicks collections have been sell out and have raised much needed awareness and funds for stroke.
The Style For Stroke Foundation was launched in 2021 as a stand alone charity and launched with a collaboration with Unhidden Clothing.
This also saw Nick collaborate with the award winning singer and actress Alexandra Burke. Together they created the The Fall Ball and The Spring Ball which fundraise for their charities as both lost their mothers to stroke. These fundraising galas have put the fun back into raising money and are one of the highlights of the charity calendars. With guests including Nicole Scherzinger, Marisha Wallace, Dionne Bromfield, Rylan and Ore Oduba they continue to shine a light on stroke and brain injury.
The latest collection entitled 'Jumpers For Joy!' is a collaboration with the ethical jumper brand FUND JUMPERS.
The Jumpers have been seen on stars including Nicola Roberts, Naomie Harris, Dame Arlene Phillips, Nicole Scherzinger and Denise Van Outen and have featured in Hello!, YOU, fabulous, The Evening Standard and The Lady.
Nick is founder of the the highly successful East Of Eden PR– The Brand and Social Purpose Agency and is the ‘go to guy' for charities looking to breathe new life into their brands.
Since launching the Style For Stroke Foundation Nick is partnering with many brands to create positive change and he is looking forward to being able to support stroke survivors first hand and continue to make a difference.
