Nick Ede and the Style For Stroke Foundation are excited to announce the launch of the 2024 campaign to raise awareness about the often overlooked impacts of a stroke and brain injury and drive fundraising for the foundation.
With a growing number of stroke sufferers under 40, Style For Stroke seeks to highlight, educate, and influence people to make healthier lifestyle choices and lower their risk of stroke - identifying fashion as a relatable route to reach this uninformed younger audience.
When designing the new Summer collection Nick wanted to make a bold statement and so he has produced a proud statement that ‘ Stroke is no joke’. The reason behind this is that there are many one liners that have been used in comedy routines, sketch shows, movies and sitcoms that use the word ‘Stroke’ as a punchline. The statements tee is a well used item of clothing and in 2024 this empowering slogan is set to create interest in stroke awareness. The well considered gender neutral designs are consciously made with sustainability in mind, having teamed with ethical manufacturers Teemill to produce each garment to order, meaning less waste.
Founder of Style for Stroke, Nick Ede says: “I am so excited to be launching this year’s campaign featuring this empowering collection, designed to connect and encourage people to take note of the symptoms and the often devastating impacts of a stroke. I wanted to empower with the Stroke is No Joke slogan tee and others that I hope will become summer wardrobe staples.Style For Stroke has always been about being inclusive, cool and compassionate with an edge, and I think the new design really speaks for itself.”
